An orionine voice in the desert

Here in Jordan, is not different from other countries in the world at the time of Lent, of course the Catholic Church carries many of the traditions from Otodox Church, for example, many families in our community are doing Orthodox fasting, that much different from ours. The Catholic Church so ask the abstinence of meat, also the Orthodox church, in his fasting is abstinence from meat and all its derivatives, egg and milk and also their derivatives. Yesterday I visited the Orthodox Church of St. George in the city of Salt in Jordan, according to tradition the saint lived in this city, when he left his hometown and came to Palestine, he lived in a cave after relinquish all his richness and social position. Inside the cave you can see oil coming out from the walls.
